Waltz for
Debbie

A tribute to Monica Z

A tribute to a legend

Waltz for Debbie is an intimate concert tribute to the legendary Swedish singer Monica Zetterlund – one of Scandinavia's most influential jazz and vocal artists.

The programme moves freely between her early cabaret songs, the Swedish lyric tradition, and her internationally acclaimed jazz recordings – including the iconic collaboration with American jazz pianist Bill Evans that gave rise to the classic "Waltz for Debbie".

The concert combines music and storytelling, offering well-known favourites and hidden gems, presented in an intimate duo format.

Anna Pauline grew up in a musical family with a Danish mother deeply rooted in Danish folk song and a father who was a well-known jazz trumpeter. She stepped on stage at the age of four and has since appeared in a wide range of cabaret and music productions.

Throughout her career she has collaborated with artists such as Peps Persson, Viktoria Tolstoy, Nils Landgren, Siw Malmqvist and Gunhild Carling. Her multicultural background has shaped her into a versatile and expressive jazz singer, frequently praised for her strong stage presence and deep understanding of the jazz tradition.
